At Palma Quad, we are dedicated to protecting the natural beauty of Essaouira and its surrounding landscapes. We created the not-for-profit organization “Save the Sea”, specifically to clean the beaches of Essaouira. In each cleaning operation, we have gathered over 40 tons of plastic from the ocean, helping to preserve marine life and the pristine coastline.
We also educate all our team members about sustainability. They are advised to sort their waste properly and to avoid any damage to nature or wildlife during tours.
Palma Quad has a goal of reducing our waste: we stopped providing plastic water bottles to reduce waste and opted for a water refill station instead.
The tracks we have traced for our tours cause little to no damage to nature. And we are working our way up to creating more eco friendly tours.
We have a strict policy about leaving nothing behind on our tours.
We believe that adventure tourism and environmental protection go hand in hand. Every tour is conducted with a focus on safety, fun, and respect for the environment. Our guides educate participants about the importance of protecting local wildlife, dunes, and forests, and encourage visitors to follow sustainable practices during their trip.
To reduce plastic waste further, Palma Quad encourages all visitors to bring their own reusable bottles, which can be filled at the base free of charge. We also provide optional reusable bags for personal items during the tours.
Our team monitors the proper disposal of waste and participates in regular local initiatives to clean and protect beaches, dunes, and forests.
